One Acts 2009 - The Princess Brie
Description: This play was inspired by a typo. I think that goes to show that the best ideas come when you least expect them. At least, that's how it is for Joe and his hobo friend Spud. "The Princess Brie" is the story of Joe, an aspiring playwright who is everything but your average Joe. After all, he wants to put on a play about cheese. And it's based on the Princess Bride. Of course, things don't go as Joe had planned. This is usually the case when you force your best friend to wear a giant wheel of Brie. I won't give any more away, but I assure you that there's something for everyone in this show. "The Princess Brie" is part musical, part comedy and part action-thriller (well, perhaps not, but there are rubber swords involved). It's a story of friendship and cheese and the importance of being yourself, even if that means wearing a giant cheese head. I hope you enjoy the show! —Syd Schulz, writer and director
